Waiting on Wednesday #27

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

This week’s Waiting on Wednesday post is for The Dark Shore (The Atlanteans #2) by Kevin Emerson (Katherine Tegen Books):

NOTE: Summary contains spoilers for the first book, The Lost Code.

Owen, Lilly, and Leech have escaped Camp Eden, but the next step on their journey to find Atlantis and protect it from Paul and Project Elysium involves crossing the perilous wastelands of a wrecked planet. And unlike in EdenWest, where bloody truths were kept hidden beneath the surface, out here the horrors live bright beneath the poisonous sun.

Filled with sizzling romance, action, mind-bending twists, and powerful scenes of emotional and physical sacrifice, The Dark Shore: Book Two of the Atlanteans takes readers on a journey to a question that’s so great, even the gods have trouble answering it: What would you be willing to do to save humanity from itself?

ADD TO GOODREADS

Why I’m looking forward to this book:

I really enjoyed the first book, The Lost Code, a lot, and not just because it promised a glimpse of life on Atlantis. There was a lot of mystery and guessing and twisting and turning in that book, and from the sound of the synopsis for The Dark Shore, this one probably has much of the same. And I’m also just the tiniest bit curious how they’re going to protect themselves from the sun when they’re traveling in a rather unprotected way!

Release Date: May 21, 2013

Thanks for visiting! I love receiving comments and do my best to respond to all of them. However, due to time constraints, this blog is now an award and tag free zone. I really appreciate the thought, but just don't have the time to pass them on.
