Mythology Week @ Read and Reviewed

mythologyweekI’m so excited to kick off my first ever “event” here at Read and Reviewed! All week long I will be celebrating my love of Mythology – this time, focusing only on Greek Myths – by hosting a Mythology Week. I hope all of you will follow along this week, as I host an international giveaway for a Greek Mythology-themed book of your choice, post three Greek Mythology-themed book reviews, and also share with you exactly why I have so much love for the character of Percy Jackson (and the books he’s featured in). Even this week’s Waiting on Wednesday post will be for a Greek Mythology-themed book! So sit back and enjoy my week of Greek Mythology!

Here is my posting schedule for this week:

YES THIS!! Your event is simply amazing, Merin! I love mythology, and reading YA fiction is kindof like my output for all that crazy fangirl love haha :D This is going to be really hard to choose but I’ll pick Goddess, 3rd book to Starcrossed because. Just because. Helen and Lucas <3 Thank you for hosting such a fantastic giveaway, I'll be keeping an eye out for all your posts this week ;)

  2. This event is amazing Merin! I am only recently becoming interested in mythology(there is SO many different sub genres… when will I get to them all, lol) so I’m really excited to read your posts! I would say I’m most interested in Starcrossed. It sounds really interesting and the cover is beautiful which is a bonus, lol.

I replied on my blog(which I have such a bad habit of doing and then I realize that you might not see it, lol) but we can do the Cinder readalong whenever! I like your idea of reading a few chapters each day, that’s super easy to fit into my reading schedule!

Thanks for hosting this giveaway! Amazing :)

This is definitely a “you” event Merin, so I can’t wait to see what you come up with this week. I’ll be very much looking forward to all your thoughts on it! And thanks for the awesome giveaway! :)

Haha, it so is, right? Since I needed to review The Goddess Inheritance anyway, and also have Envy out from the library, I figured what better way than a whole week-long event to showcase my love of books revolving around the Greek Myths? Next year I’m thinking about possibly doing Egyptian Mythology as my theme, but we’ll see how this week goes first. :)

Sounds like a plan. I definitely want to read Percy Jackson myself (a greek myth book), since I’ve heard so many rave things, especially from you. Hopefully your week of Greece will encourage me to pick it up. Oooh, that sounds like an awesome idea. Best of luck! :)

  7. What an awesome feature week! I wish I had known about it sooner. I adore Greek mythology like no other, though I really haven’t read any YA interpretations. I’ll look forward to your posts this week! :)

    And thanks for the giveaway!

I love how you love Percy Jackson too!!!! I swear, you can;t find many people that are fans of that really… Or maybe it’s just the people I mix around with….
Anyway, thank you so much for this opportunity!!! You have a few books up there that are on my ‘Top Books EVER’ list!
I don’t really have a book I’d like to win; they’re all pretty cool in my opinion, but maybe Pegasus or Sweet Venom…
    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Hi Merin, this is such an awesome idea! I love Greek Mythology and Percy Jackson! I’d love to win the second book of Sweet Venom which is Sweet Shadows, am I right of the title? I’m not quite sure, Lol! But I enjoyed Sweet Venom so much that I want the second book. Anyway, thanks for the giveaway! ;)
