Read. Sleep. Repeat. is once again hosting ARC August, and I am participating in the hopes of reducing the number of ARCs/e-galleys I still need to read. I have a mix of galleys from both Edelweiss and NetGalley that I will be choosing from, and would like to get through galleys in total during the month. This might be over-reaching, as I start back to work this week, but we’ll see what I can accomplish all the same.
The rules are very simple.
- It may be a physical ARC or and eARC but it MUST be an ARC
- Yes it can be an ARC that has released as long as it’s an ARC I’m not going to nit pick much
- HAVE FUN WITH THIS! Feeling like you are being “forced” to read is the best way turn a fun event into a yucky obligation.
- Update post! Read. Sleep. Repeat will do a post for each Saturday in August. You can update once a week, every other week, or once for the whole darn event. This update can be in the form of a blog or tumblr post, vlog, link to your “ARC August 2015″ shelf or even an Instagram pic! I want to make this as easy and low pressure as possible for you.
I am currently reading Ice Like Fire, so hope to have that one completed by the end of this weekend. I’m not sure which book I’ll read next, but the remaining seven above will be the ones I pick from. Some of these are so overdue it’s not even funny, but I figure this is a good way to finally get them read!
My goal, as mentioned above, is to read ARCs/e-galleys during the month of August. I will be posting updates on Fridays with my books read/pages read to help keep myself on track. I will also be listening to an audiobook – This Song Will Save Your Life – once I start back to work on the 6th, which is also an e-galley that I need to read, so those totals will also be included in my updates, even though it will take me longer than a month to get through it.
If anyone else is participating in ARC August, I wish you loads of luck with meeting your goals!
