Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they will post a new Top Ten list that one of the bloggers there at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join!
Today’s Top Ten Tuesday topic asks us to list our Top Ten Debut Authors Who Have Me Excited About Their Sophomore Novel. I played around with this a bit, because I haven’t read very many books recently by debut authors, so my list also includes some sophomore novels that have already been released but I haven’t yet read. All of these are on my TBR list, though, so I figure it works!
- The Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard (Red Queen #2)
- Map of Fates by Maggie Hall (Conspiracy of Us #2)
- 17 Years by Ava Dellaira
- This is Where the World Ends by Amy Zhang
- Little & Lion by Brandy Colbert
- Somewhere Between Right and Wrong by Tess Sharpe
- The Forbidden Orchid by Sharon Biggs Waller
- (Don’t You) Forget About Me by Kate Karyus Quinn
- The Cure for Dreaming by Cat Winters
- Tonight the Streets Are Ours by Leila Sales
So that’s my list! Do we share any titles? Please link me to your post!
Kate Karyus Quinn is such an unusual writer, but I do really enjoy her writing! :-) I hope you enjoy the sophomore novel!
17 Years sounds SO interesting. To compare a mother and a daughter as teenagers?? That’s just cool. But I thought Love Letters to the Dead sounded cool and I didn’t like it that much at all :( Hopefully her new one will click with me better. I’m also really excited for Kat Zhang’s book. It sounds really good. Great list :)
Great list! Sharon Biggs Waller, Cat Winters and Leila Sales are all authors whose work I really want to check out. :)
very interesting list. I haven’t read any of these authors but II will check some of them out. Happy reading https://ireadboooks.wordpress.com/2015/11/03/top-ten-non-fiction-books-i-want-to-read/
I have had the Red Queen on my TBR list since before it was released and I still haven’t had a chance to read it! I have to get to it! Great list!
Hi! I’m looking forward to getting to Tonight the Streets Are Ours. :)

I’d like to try out Conspiracy of Us – I’ve heard mixed things about it, but it does sound really interesting.
Check out my TTT and the weekly meme I hosting on my blog Music Monday.
Both Victoria Aveyard and Maggie Hall made it to my list this week too :) I read Tonight the Streets Are Ours as soon as it came out, but sadly I didn’t enjoyed as much as I would’ve liked. I hope you have a better experience!
Great TTT. Check out mine when you get the chance
