Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog, and for checking out my About Me page! I’m always excited to “meet” new people, so please feel free to look around and leave a comment if it strikes your fancy.
- My name is Merin. It’s pronounced like “Marin County, California”, or like the “mer” in “mermaid”. Mer-RIN. But don’t worry if you say it wrong, because everyone does!
- I am a first grade teacher in a public elementary school in a suburb outside St. Louis, MO. I received my BA in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Saint Louis University, and hold an MS in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
- There’s nothing better than curling up with a good book. It’s one of my favorite evening activities, and I try to indulge as much as is feasibly possible.
- From St. Louis, Missouri, where I was born, raised, and currently still live. Cardinals’ baseball is my first love, aside from books, and I am an avid sports fan in general. Go Cards!
The majority of the books I read fall under the category of Young Adult Literature, although I do occasionally read other genres. My interests include paranormal fiction, faeries, Greek Mythology, Holocaust Studies, music biographies and history, among others.
