Stacking the Shelves #37

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, which is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. You can read more about the creation of Stacking the Shelves by visiting the official launch page here.

Busy week this week, in terms of things I’ve received in the mail (not all of them book related). First off, my Book Depository order arrived, and I was super excited because I’ve been wanting a copy of this book for ages. Then I had ordered a couple of book-related t-shirts (LotR-themed), picked up some children’s books for possible library purchase from NetGalley, and also received my Disney order. My very fun mail week was even more enjoyed because I had to stay late at work all week for Parent-Teacher Conferences, so this was a nice pick-me-up (not that conferences didn’t go well, because they did, it’s just exhausting!).

gravemercy somethingtoprove lament

E-books/E-Galleys:

Thank you to Bloomsbury Kids, Lerner and Scholastic for the e-galleys!

In book-related, non-book items, I picked up these two shirts from Spreadshirt.com. Both are Lord of the Rings-themed and I ♥ them!

And then I picked up some Disney items, because I adore Disney everything, and Valentine’s Day always makes me think of Disney (happily-ever-afters, you know):

I also picked up a cute “it’s a small world” bag (London-themed!) and a Cinderella’s glass slipper necklace. Love!

So that’s what I received this week! What about you? Please link me!

I’ve already read Lament but didn’t own a copy for myself, so jumped on the Kindle deal. I still want to get a copy for my shelves, though, because I really loved it a lot. A faerie book done right!

  4. What a great haul! Seriously I hope you enjoy all of your books.

I love the Snow White top, I do love Disney! :)

Looks like a great haul. I’m jealous, you have The Summer Prince. I want to read that one. Looks lots of fun! :) Hope you enjoy your books.

    • Merin says:

I am a giant Disney fan. Disney World is probably my favorite place I’ve ever traveled to. ♥

The Summer Prince is up on NetGalley from Scholastic. I don’t know if you have to live in the US to request but it might be worth checking out if you’re interested!

      • Livvy @Nerdy Book Reviews says:

I got rejected from NetGalley.. :( Still, thanks for the suggestion. Yes, Disney World is amazing.

  6. I LOVE the Disney stuff, I am a sucker for Disney too. (There is a company that makes fun Disney running gear I love Here) I really enjoyed Lament, hopefully you will too!

  7. Those shirts are awesome! I’m going to go check out that site now… I love printed tees :) I hope you enjoy all your books Merin!

    • Merin says:

They have TONS of stuff on there! I could have spent hours just browsing. I initially went for the “You Shall Not Pass” tee, but saw the other one and couldn’t resist getting it, too. :)

  8. I totally missed that Kindle Daily deal with Grave Mercy. Oh well. It’s been on my to read list for a while, and it will probably stay there for a little while longer. I hope you enjoy! Thanks for stopping by Tynga’s Reviews!

  9. Quinn says:

Disney is totally the best!!!! Do you have a favorite Disney movie? Mine is definitely Beauty and the Beast, but The Little Mermaid and Aladdin are close runners up. I love those Disney Renaissance movies! :)

    • Merin says:

Beauty and the Beast is my favorite princess movie, but I actually really love The Sword in the Stone. They never have SitS merchandise, though, which is a shame; I’d scoop it up in a heartbeat!

      • Quinn says:

That’s frustrating. A few years back I was searching for an Ariel t-shirt for women (not little girls) and could not find it anyway. I was so frustrated!

      • Merin says:

When I was perusing their site for this order, the only shirts they had for females were some Villains-inspired stuff and lots of Snow White shirts. There was a super cute Belle shirt, but it was out of stock; I was bummed, because I totally would have gotten it!

      • Quinn says:

I would have totally been all over that Belle shirt, too. Come on Disney, adults like your stuff too! :)

  10. I LOVE your disney t-shirts! :)

  11. Ashley says:

I’m sooo jealous of That Time I Joined the Circus and The Summer Prince! *requests those immediately* I hope I get approved too! Enjoy your new books. :)

Grave Mercy is really a good read, you’ll definitely love the kick-ass heroine! And I love your disney shirts!

    • Merin says:

Oh, I already own a print copy of Grave Mercy (and also had an e-galley). I adored it, but the book is so huge and heavy that I went ahead and picked up the Kindle version just for easier transport. :)

  13. Nafiza says:

Oh the Greek Tales look amazing! Did you caress it and call it precious because I totally would have!

  14. I love the Disney shirts! My copy of Grave Mercy has been sitting around for ages, and I really need to get to it, especially with the sequel coming out soon. I hope you enjoy all of the awesome things you received this week!

  15. Grave mercy is really good and I love your LOTR & Disney shirt :D

    Happy reading!

  16. What a great haul! I love the t-shirts. I really need to read Grave Mercy before the next one comes out. The covers in that series are so awesome!
